The Royal Models ASW 28

This is a semi scale model of Alexander Schleichers ASW 28. The 1:4.3 scale size of this glider makes it an excellent candidate to get into scale soaring, aero towing, winch launching or hi-start.

This model is provided as an ARF. The level of completion is very good, reducing building time and building complexity. The airfoils are HQ3/12 and offer predictable, forgiving flight characteristics. The airfoil design responds well to thermals and it’s low camber allows for high speed and great energy retention for aerobatics. 

The model is designed for experienced pilots / builders.

Construction:

The wings are wood sheeted foam with covering with ailerons and fiberglass winglets.  The fuselage is epoxy and glass composite with a white gel-coat surface. Precut, individual plywood servo frames are provided for the rudder and the horizontal stabilizer.
